Yoshimura (Yoshimura R&D) is a manufacturer of aftermarket motorcycle parts, specializing in performance motorcycle exhausts. Yoshimura aftermarket exhausts are available for off-road bikes, ATV's, and for all major road sport-bike makes - BMW, Ducati, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Yamaha. The company was started as a small engine-building shop in 1954 in Japan by Hideo "Pops" Yoshimura, a motorcycle tuner and race-team owner. From the beginning, exhaust pipes became the main product of Yoshimura's business, because one of the first things to do in order to increase the power of a motorcycle engine is to modify the exhaust system; the quicker an engine spends gasses, the faster.
